Description
This Oregon native shrub reaches 3-15' tall and 8' wide. Evergreen foliage has small, dark green leaves with white and woolly undersides. Small, greenish flowers may appear in spring and summer. Small round fruit appear in summer, changing from green to red to purple-black. Fruit has 2 seeds which resemble coffee beans. This shrub can be grown as a small tree or a multi-stemmed shrub. It does best in full or part sun with well draining soil. Very reliable.
