Description

This vigorous perennial reaches 3'-9' tall and 1'-3' wide. It is covered with bright lavender puffs of flowers in late August until frost, attracting butterflies. Foliage is narrow, lance-shaped and grows in whorls around the stem. Leaves can be 1' long and edges are serrated. Gives a slight vanilla scent when crushed. It prefers full to part sun with well draining moist rich soil.
