Description
This is a compact evergreen shrub that grows to 5' tall and 3-4' wide. Foliage is shiny, dark green and elliptical or oblong. Small, urn-shaped flowers appear in winter or early spring in white or pinkish clusters. Round red fruit appear in fall, attracting wildlife. This shrub does best in full or part sun with well-draining, acidic or neutral soil. Established plants need no summer water. Fruit is great for jams and jellies. This plant doesn't survive in humid climates.
