Description

This is a very graceful tree with a unique flat top which creates an interesting canopy effect. It has delightful, fluffy pink summer flowers and fern-like, tiny green leaves. No fall color-leaves stay green until killed by frost. It is a fast grower to 25-30' tall and wide when given adequate water. It enjoys high summer heat. Plant in full sun. Mature trees are drought and wind tolerant. It tolerates high pH and salinity. It is especially interesting when viewed from above, so it works well on down slopes.

Water Saving Tip:

Mulching and adding compost to soil can minimize evaporation and help soil absorb and store water.
