Description

This tree grows to 30' tall with a 15'-20' spread. The leaves are small, simple and dark green. It has a low branching, spreading habit. Bark exfoliates on mature trees, appearing like a mosaic of green, white and brown. There is beautiful yellow, orange, and scarlet fall foliage color. It does best in full sun with acidic, loamy, well draining soil. Flowers without petals, have showy red stamens before leaves appear.

Water Saving Tip:

Mulching and adding compost to soil can minimize evaporation and help soil absorb and store water.
