Description

Lacebark Elm quickly reaches 30-50' tall and 20-40' wide with an upright habit and spreading pendulous branches with age. Lacebark Elm has small, dark green leaves, giving a fine looking texture to the tree. Foliage turns yellow or orange in fall. Small, greenish yellow flowers appear in summer but are considered insignificant. Small light brown fruit appear in fall. Bark is brown gray but with maturity, exfoliates to reveal orange patterns. Is resistant to Dutch Elm disease. It does best in full sun. Used for bonsai.
