Artemisia absinthium
Absinth Wormwood
Description
This perennial has soft-looking, finely divided, silver gray, aromatic, evergreen foliage. It can reach 2'-3' tall and 1.5'-2' wide. It is considered invasive in some areas. Small yellow flowers appear in late summer and early fall but are considered insignificant. It does best in full sun with well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established so it's important not to overwater. It does not tolerate humid areas. Prune in spring to tidy plant and prevent volunteer seedlings from self-sowing. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
