Description
Hairy Manzanita is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that slowly reaches 3' tall and 3-6' wide. It has a single base with spreading branches that have rust colored bark. Foliage is leathery, dark green and small. Pinkish white, small, pendulous flowers appear in spring, attracting hummingbirds. Roundish, red fruit appear in summer. This plant does well in full or part sun with well-draining, rocky, acidic soil. Established plants are drought tolerant.
