Description
Durable long lived native shrub. During summer, lush green foliage & rounded form. Fall, foliage provides splash of yellow to red. Orange red berries are attractive. Occurs 3-10000' Canada to Mexico. Fast growing deciduous shrub 3-5' x 8-10'. Low elevations produce smaller plants. Leaves are three lobed, dark green range from yellow to orange to red in fall. Fleshy orange red fruit attracts birds. Full sun to part shade. Good drainage. Tolerant of poor soils & drought.
