Description

As a large, slow-growing conifer, the Atlas Cedar requires ample room for growth. It can reach 25-75' tall and 6-40' wide. Young trees are cone-shaped, changing to a flat-topped habit. Its evergreen foliage (needles) is green. It does best in full sun with moist, fertile, well-draining soil. It does tolerate clay soil. Thin large trees to prevent wind damage. Prune to retain central leader and remove crossing branches.
