This deciduous vine will grow to about 20' in length and has dark green, bronzy, toothed leaves that turn dark red in fall.

This biennial plant will grow 30-36" and produces deep violet and white flowers that resemble a cup and saucer. The flowers are on light stems with light green leaves.

This plant is given a soft, mound-like appearance by the long, arching branches that are found covered with small, bright green leaves. It is able to grow in either full sun or partial shade.

Dawn Redwood, Water Fir

Common name:Dawn Redwood, Water Fir
Botanical name:Metasequoia glyptostroboides

The Metasequoia is a dense, pyramidal, deciduous conifer with a central leader and under positive cultural conditions, performs as a rapid grower. It has an opposite branching pattern, with branchlets of long, simple needles that appear to be flattened. During the spring, its foliage is a bright reddish-brown color that matures to a light green tone, and an autumn shade ranging from a tawny pink to golden bronze.This plant is fire-prone! Please use caution when planting near your home.
