Common name:Lace Leaf Japanese Maple
Botanical name:Acer palmatum 'Dissectum'

This small maple has bright green lacy leaves. It grows to 10' and spreads 8'. This plant gives a weeping, delicate appearance. Flowers are purple and inconspicuous. The fruit is a winged samara.

This magnificient plant can used as a small tree or shrub. It is deciduous with graceful leaves which have a scarlet color in spring as it leafs out. Leaves later turn orange or yellow in fall. It is slow growing to 20', and requires shelter from the hot sun. The leaves of this tree are small, light green in color, and deeply lobed. Star Magnolia

Common name:Star Magnolia
Botanical name:Magnolia stellata

This slow-growing, shrubby, deciduous Magnolia has narrow leaves about 4" long and 1" wide. These fragrant, white flowers bloom in the early spring before leaves appear. Flowers have 19-21,star-shaped petals. It takes about 3 years before first bloom appears but it is well worth the wait. This tree reaches 10' tall and 20' wide. Frost can destroy blooms. Star Magnolia looks great in the entryway or patio where you can see the blooms.

Box Elder

Common name:Box Elder
Botanical name:Acer negundo

The Boxelder is a deciduous, fast growing tree that attains heights of 40'-60'. It is native to California's streambanks and valleys below 6000'. The leaves have a beautiful, yellow fall color. This Acer is found throughout North America and is the most common of the Maples. -Cornflower Farms
