These summer-blooming perennials form clumps with large, grass-like leaves. Its showy flowers, resembling lilies, are borne in clusters on stems held well above the foliage. Daylilies can be found in many colors: yellow, orange, red, purple, pink or multi-colored. Hemerocallis does better in well-draining soil and with extra summer water. Hemerocallis are very hardy,with few or none pests/problems.

Nandina domestica is a graceful upright shrub that grows from 3'-6' in height. It gets its name from its bamboo-like growth habit. When thinned from the center it bears a remarkable resemblance to bamboo. It is best used in groups. It can be used in a shaded patio or out in a shrub border with full sun. An interesting feature of Heavenly Bamboo is the bronze color in the new growth when planted in full sun. It also bears clusters of white flowers in the spring.

Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar

Botanical name:Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula'

This large, slow-growing conifer exhibits weeping growth form. Its golden leaves are 1" in size, and it also requires full sun in order to best develop its color. It serves as an excellent specimen or rock garden subject. This plant is fire-prone! Please use caution when planting near your home.

Hollywood Juniper, Twisted Juniper

Botanical name:Juniperus chinensis 'Kaizuka'

The dark green foliage on the branches of this Juniper start in a narrow cone shape when young but open up gracefully when older. Its twisted looking branches resemble flames. It may grow 15' tall in 15 years. Over time, the branches may lean to one side. Junipers are highly combustible plants.

Mugo Pine

Botanical name:Pinus mugo

Pinus mugo is an evergreen shrub that grows slowly, reaching 3-6' tall and wide. This conifer has a round dense habit but is the low growing form. Foliage is dark green needles; small brown cones appear on shrub and may remain on plant for long time. Tip-shear the candles of new growth of the needles to keep the plant smaller and promote density. This plant does best in full sun with well-draining soil. Many cultivars now available.
