This Oregon native is a deciduous broadleaf shrub that reaches 4-6' tall and 3' wide. It is broadly arching and loosely branched shrub. Small green leaves have serrated edges. Fragrant branches of white flowers appear in early summer, attracting bees and butterflies. This shrub does well in full or part sun with almost any kind of garden soil. Reliable and hardy. Used as an understory plant. Prune after flowering period to remove older stems and encourage new growth.
