Morus alba 'Pendula' is a deciduous tree. This fast growing tree can reach 30'-50' high and wide, but often smaller. Leaves are 6" long and nearly as wide, often lobed.

Botanical name:Cistus X purpureus

Orchid rockrose is an evergreen shrub growing to 4' tall and wide, often shorter in stressful situations. The rosy-crimson flowers to 3" wide exhibit a dark purple blotch at the base of each petal, and bloom early to mid-summer. The flowers also feature a contrasting yellow cluster of stamens in the center. It does well in salt spray and cool winds. It is relatively long-lived, tolerant of heat and aridity as well as accepting many soil conditions. -Native Sons Nursery

Hedge Lavender

Botanical name:Lavandula X intermedia

This attractive evergreen shrub reaches 2' tall and wide. Foliage is dense, gray green and aromatic. Leaves turn bronze and then purple during winter. Thin, erect, small tubular, purple flowers top the foliage during summer, attracting bees. This plant does well in full sun with neutral to alkaline, well-draining soil. Harvest flower stems when they are in bud stage to retain fragrance for potpourri or other crafts. This plant may be sheared for shape or tip-pruned in early summer to encourage density.

Complete with a strong, dense root system which clings attractively to slopes, this makes for an excellent low maintenance ground cover. In addition, it has no messy seeds.
